Project Background Information
A: The Estates at St. George is a project of Sagicor Financial Corporation Ltd. (www.sagicor.com) the Caribbean’s largest insurance provider. This company has its origins in The Barbados Mutual Life Assurance Society that was founded in 1840, and then demutualized in 2002 converting to a publicly listed limited liability company. The Group now has operations in 22 countries in the Caribbean and the USA. It boasts assets of US$6.8Bn, revenues of US$1.2Bn and produced net income of US$115M in 2017.
A: The Developer will retain responsibility for facilities management of The Estates. It is anticipated that Origin Active Lifestyle Communities Inc. (https://www.originway.ca/) will manage the Catered Living, Skilled Nursing/Memory Care, and Georgian Club facilities, as well as the programmed activities of The Royal Palm Clubhouse and the Lakeside Terraces. Origin is an experienced boutique manager of a number of senior living properties located in Canada, Poland and now the Caribbean.

The Estates at St. George

A: The Estates will allow up to two household pets per home being any combination of two small dogs and/or two cats, not weighing more than 25 pounds each. Pet owners must adhere strictly to the pet policy.
A: The Estates is a fenced and guard-gated community that will provide physical as well as psychological security for residents and their guests.
A: Organised life enrichment activities such as cooking classes, fitness programs and outings will attract participation fees.
A: We are pleased to offer a complimentary scheduled shuttle to nearby locations. If you require personal transportation, our team can help to arrange service from a trusted local service.
A: We will provide scheduled golf cart transportation within the community.
A: You will be free to rent your home subject to any relevant covenants governing the Development. You may list the home for rent with Terra Caribbean, our lead real estate agent, or any other registered real estate agent of your choice.
A: There is an assigned parking space for each residence. Residents are required to park only in their assigned spaces. If you need an additional parking space, you will have to check with Management to ensure that there is one available.
A: There is no entry age restriction applicable to The Estates. The condominiums have been conceptualized and professionally designed to provide a range of wellness experiences and amenities for mature residents, that will allow them to age in place with access to a continuum of personal and health care services.
Club House
A: Residents and their guests will have complimentary access to The Royal Palm Clubhouse and its facilities, and preferred reservations at the restaurant. The public will be able to use the restaurant and pub as paying guests.
A: The Clubhouse will be open 7 days per week and residents will have access to the pool, tennis courts, a children’s play area and complimentary scheduled bus transportation to nearby locations. There will be a dedicated Concierge Service and a schedule of programmed activities based on the preferences of residents.
Wellness Centre
A: Entrance to The Estates will be controlled by a guarded gate. The Wellness Centre has its own carpark for external users of its facilities. The only traffic within the community will be associated with the residences, service delivery and property maintenance, all of which will be discreet.
A: On the lower floor of The Wellness Centre there will be a Bistro and a Convenience Store with Pharmacy. There will also be an Urgent Care Medical Facility, Family Medical Clinic and visiting specialist doctors’ scheduled clinics. On the upper floor there will be the private member Georgian Club offering holistic spa and salon services, as well as gym, fitness and rehab resources.
A: Yes, included in the Amenity Fee is the benefit of up to two membership subscriptions to the private member Georgian Club which will be made available to each home at The Estates. Residents will be entitled to preferred pricing for services such as spa treatments and personal training.
Care
A: Included in Amenity Access is the benefit of registration with the Urgent Care medical facility for emergency attention either at the Wellness Centre or at your own home, as appropriate. There will also be doctors’ and specialists’ attending clinics on a rotation basis. Residents will have the option of moving to the Catered Living building on a priority basis where professional personal care is available. There are two hospitals that are within a 15-minute drive from The Estates at St. George. Sagicor is in discussions to establish a Cardiac, Vascular and Oncology Medical Complex on lands it owns opposite to The Estates at St. George.
A: Catered Living will be provided in the Tamarind building and will feature:
- Three meals daily in the central dining room
- Daily fitness, wellness, social and recreational programs run by trained professional staff
- Outings and scheduled transportation using The Estates at St. George bus
- 24-hour emergency response monitoring and response by trained professionals
- Furnished 1- and 2- bedroom apartments with window coverings, efficiency kitchenette (sink, bar fridge and microwave), bed, linens, towels, TV and console table, bed side tables, couch and or wingback chair (depending on unit size)
- On-site nursing and personal support staffing as required for wellness programming
- Weekly housekeeping and laundry services
- Respite, short-term stay and recovery suites in separate wing with dedicated care staffing 24-hours per day
- Fully landscaped outdoor areas with private aqua-fit pool and patio
